• Timezone (for accurate streak calculations)

Usage Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the app. This includes anonymized data about feature usage, session duration, and app performance. No personal habits or photos are included in analytics.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Apex Lad service
• Verify habit completion through photo analysis
• Calculate and maintain your habit streaks
• Send you notifications and reminders (with your permission)
• Generate personalized motivational content

DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure, which employs industry-standard encryption and security practices.

• All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL
• Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256
• Authentication is handled securely through Firebase Auth
• We regularly review and update our security practices

DATA SHARING

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services (Firebase, OpenAI for photo verification) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government request
• Safety: To protect the rights, safety, or property of Apex Lad, our users, or others

YOUR RIGHTS & CHOICES

Access & Portability

You can request a copy of your personal data at any time by contacting us.

Correction

You can update your account information directly within the app settings.

Deletion

You can delete your account at any time through the app settings. This will permanently remove all your personal data, habit history, and any photos from our systems within 30 days.

Notifications

You can manage push notification preferences in your device settings or within the app.

DATA RETENTION

• Account Data: Retained until you delete your account
• Habit Data: Retained until you delete your account
• Verification Photos: Automatically deleted after 30 days
• Analytics Data: Retained in anonymized form for up to 2 years

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Apex Lad is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.

TERMS OF SERVICE

By using Apex Lad, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Use the app only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to manipulate or falsify habit verifications
• Not upload inappropriate, harmful, or illegal content
• Accept that financial stakes, once forfeited, are non-refundable

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA including the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information (note: we do not sell personal information).

INTERNATIONAL USERS

If you are accessing Apex Lad from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located.
